Our B&B in Edinburgh

Edinburgh was our first B&B experience of the trip.  I think we were a little anxious as we had picked them all online and in some cases had no verbal communication with the owners beforehand.  We stayed at AmarAgua in Edinburgh.  I consider it a good sign when a B&B has its own internet domain name.  See the link below to go to their page!

We were very happy with AmarAgua.  The decor was unusual but the room was clean, comfortable and quiet.  The only down side to the room was the shower.  It looked very promising with a seperate piece with dials to control the water temperature and rate, but when putting it on the highest pressure, the temperature went through the roof!  Apart from the shower, everything was great.  Breakfasts were excellent, and Tony & Dawn-Ann our hosts made us feel welcome.  It was located a bit far from the heart of the city (the web site says 1 mile, but it felt longer) - we walked it once the first day, but there is a bus stop just around the corner that was very convenient.

Our visit to Edinburgh was one of the high points of our trip (we should have stayed longer!) and the B&B was partially responsible.
