Westminster Abbey

Westminster Abbey was another spot where there was no photography inside - not surprising as it is an active place of worship and the location of a number of precious artifacts and tombs.

Almost all British monarchs have been crowned in the Abbey, and many of them are burried there.  These include: Edward the Confessor, Henry III, Edward I, Richard II, Henry V and Elizabeth I.

Other notables burried there are: Geoffrey Chaucer, Charles Dickens, Alfred Lord Tennyson, Rudyard Kipling, Sir Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, Lord Kelvin, Ernest Rutherford, George Frederic Handel and Laurence Olivier.  Over 3000 people are burried within the Abbey.

There is more information at this website then I could possibly give here.  Of course, the Abbey is a must-see when visiting London.
