So you might be wondering why it's call the Basilica of the Holy Blood. Not only did we stumble across this place, but we stumbled on the right day. This man is holding a crystal vial in which is kept a fragment of cloth supposedly used to wipe Christ's blood after the crucifiction. You can walk up and kiss it (or just touch it) once a week.
