Marriott Maida Vale For our stay in London we booked a hotel instead of a B&B. Prices in London are outrageous and the best deal we could get was the Friends and Family discount with Marriott. This was a HUGE help. The hotel was a bit out of the city, but it was an easy walk to the Underground station (Kilburn Park) and then a 10 minute ride into the center of the city. The hotel was nice enough; it was a good place to spend the week. The room was fairly large, the shower was great and the bed was comfortable. What more can you ask? There wasn't much in the immediate area of the hotel but we found (on the last day) that going down one of the roads led to a pretty good assortment of stores. Too bad we didn't figure that out earlier! We also ate dinner in a small Italian place across the street that we're pretty sure is a front for some sort of organized crime! |
